Medical Description

It does not replace assessment of a severe or persistent cough.

How does this medicine work?

Terbutaline relaxes the muscles around narrowed airways, helping them open. Bromhexine makes thick mucus thinner and easier to move. Guaiphenesin increases the water content of airway secretions so phlegm can be cleared by coughing. Menthol provides a cooling sensation that may soothe throat irritation.
