Molecule Description
Troxipide is a novel anti-reflux and antacid medicine.
Uses
- Recently developed or worsening of previously existing irritation or injury to the lining of the stomach (acute gastritis or exacerbation of chronic gastritis)
- Ulcers of the stomach (peptic or gastric ulcers)
Contraindications
When should one not use Troxipide
Allergy to Troxipide or any components of the medicine.
Side effects
Common side effects of this drug are:
- Constipation, gas, fullness or discomfort of the stomach
- Increase in liver enzymes (due to minor liver damage)
- Nausea (feeling sick)
- Generalized discomfort (malaise)

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Troxipide acts by reducing the immune response (or inflammation) in the stomach and thus prevents further damage to the already injured lining of the stomach and allows natural recovery. It also helps in the production of mucus (thick protective layer of the stomach lining) and regeneration of damaged stomach wall.

Dosage
Overdose
Accidental overdose is unlikely to be harmful. Constipation, stomach discomfort, feeling sick (nausea) and vomiting are symptoms of overdose. Consult the doctor if necessary.
Missed a Dose
If you missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule Do not take a higher or a double dose to make up for the missed dose. Ideally, it is recommended to have a 6-8 hour gap between two dosages.
