Molecule Description
Ketoconazole with Pyrithione Zinc is a medicated treatment used to manage dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and other scalp conditions caused by fungal infections and excess oil. Ketoconazole is an antifungal that works by stopping the growth of the yeast responsible for scalp irritation, while Pyrithione Zinc helps reduce itching, flaking, and oiliness. This combination helps restore a healthy scalp, leaving hair cleaner and more comfortable. It is typically applied as a shampoo, gently massaged onto wet hair and scalp, left to sit for a few minutes, and then rinsed thoroughly. For best results, follow the usage instructions provided by your doctor or on the product label and use it regularly. While generally safe, avoid contact with the eyes. If irritation or redness occurs, rinse immediately and consult your healthcare provider. Using this medicated shampoo as directed can effectively control dandruff, reduce scalp discomfort, and promote healthier hair, making it a reliable choice for maintaining a healthy scalp.
