Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Paclitaxel, a chemotherapy medication, works by interfering with microtubules, which are essential structures within cells. Microtubules help cells divide and function properly. Paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules, preventing them from breaking down as they normally should. This disruption in the cell division process can lead to cell death, particularly in cancer cells.
