When should one not use Mometasone+Salicylic Acid

• If you are allergic to mometasone, salicylic acid or any other ingredient of this medicine.
• If you are allergic to any other corticosteroids like dexamethasone, cortisone. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.

Common side effects of this drug are:

• Skin dryness
• Skin irritation
• Application site pain
• Burning sensation

Other General Warnings

• You have any other skin problems like rosacea, acne, thinning of the skin, fluid-filled blisters on or around the lips, painful rashes with blisters, warts, ulcerated skin, wounds, other skin infections or your child has nappy rash.
• You experience irritation, allergy or infection after using this medicine.
• You develop symptoms like acne, muscle weakness, tiredness, increased thirst and urination, headache, thinning of the skin, frequent infections, irregular periods, mood swings or sugar in urine after using this medicine.
• You experience blurred vision or other vision problems after the use of this medicine.
• You apply this medicine on cracked or inflamed skin.

How Does It Work?

• Mometasone+Salicylic Acid contains mometasone and salicylic acid as its active ingredients.
• Mometasone is a corticosteroid that reduces redness and itchiness.
• Salicylic acid is a keratolytic (peeling agent) that softens and removes psoriasis scales causing the outer scaly skin to shed.

Interactions with other medicines

• Since Mometasone+Salicylic Acid is to be used externally on the skin, it is less likely to interact with other medicines.
• However, you should always consult your doctor if you are taking other medicines for treating other health conditions.
• The use of Mometasone+Salicylic Acid with other topical medicines on the same area of skin should be avoided.
