Chlorpheniramine is an anti-allergic medicine and dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. Chlorpheniramine maleate+Dextromethorphan hydrobromide is available in the form of tablets, syrup, suspension, oral drops. Contraindications

When should one not use Chlorpheniramine Maleate+Dextromethorphan

If you are allergic to chlorpheniramine maleate, dextromethorphan hydrobromide or similar medicines. If you are taking medications like sodium oxybate, which is used in preventing daytime sleepiness. Do not take this medicine along or at least 2 weeks after treatment with any medicine like phenelzine, selegiline which are used to treat psychiatric illness or Parkinson's disease.
