Description
Zincold Tablets contains phenylephrine, paracetamol, and chlorpheniramine as the active components. This tablets is used to treat cold and allergies in adults and children. Phenylephrine constricts t
he blood vessels in the nose, leading to decongestant action. Chlorpheniramine blocks the action of an allergy-causing substance called histamine. This results in the control of cold or allergy symptoms. Paracetamol lowers fever by acting on the brain's centre that controls body temperature. This medicine is only available on a doctor's prescription and should be taken at a dose and for a duration prescribed by the doctor. Do not use this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless recommended by a doctor. In addition, this medicine is not recommended in children below 6 years of age. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any ingredients. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any unusual side effects after taking this medicine.

- Concomitant use of cholestyramine or activated charcoal reduces absorption of Zincold Tablets
- Concomitant use of domperidone or metoclopramide increases absorption of Zincold Tablets
- Concomitant use of alcohol increases chances of liver toxicity
- Zincold Tablets decrease effects of zidovudine
