These disorders may lead to a decrease in quality of life. The mode of action of Voxamin is through Fluvoxamine which helps in the management of these disorders by enhancing the effects of serotonin, a chemical in the brain. This chemical adjustment in the brain reduces the symptoms of depression and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It is essential to take this medication on prescription by a doctor, at the exact dose and for the entire duration prescribed. Side effects of Voxamin include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, increased irritability, anxiety, delayed ejaculation, and loss of sexual drive. It can cause sedation, drowsiness, and decreased muscle coordination.

Contraindications of Voxamin 50 MG

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Voxamin 50 MG
- Swallow Voxamin tablet whole; do not split, crush, or chew it.
- Take this medication at the recommended dose. Do not alter the dose in any way, as this may lead to undesirable side effects.
- It is recommended that this medication be taken at a fixed time every day, preferably at night.
- Voxamin tablets can be taken with or without food.

Interactions of Voxamin 50 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Co-administration of Tranylcypromine or other monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) with Voxamin tablets is contraindicated; the risk or severity of adverse effects of this medicine can be increased. Taking them within 14 days of treatment is also contraindicated....
- Co-administration of Tapentadol or other serotonergic agents is not recommended; it may increase the central nervous system (CNS) depressant effects of the medicine and precipitate a dangerous side effect called Serotonin Syndrome....
- Co-administration with other benzodiazepines and strong painkillers like tramadol is not recommended as it can potentiate its actions.
- Co-administration with warfarin, Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), aspirin, or other medicines affecting coagulation is not recommended; it may lead to an increased risk of bleeding.
- The metabolism of certain medicines like Carbamazepine and Tacrine may be decreased when administered with Fluvoxamine. This may lead to dangerous side effects.
