Voxamin 50 MG Description

Voxamin tablet is a prescription medication used for the management of depression and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The active ingredient in Voxamin is Fluvoxamine. Depression is a mental

ealth disorder that causes a person to feel excessively sad, angry and unmotivated. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder that causes a person to have persistent unreasonable thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead to compulsive behaviours. These disorders may lead to a decrease in quality of life. The mode of action of Voxamin is through Fluvoxamine which helps in the management of these disorders by enhancing the effects of serotonin, a chemical in the brain. This chemical adjustment in the brain reduces the symptoms of depression and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It is essential to take this medication on prescription by a doctor, at the exact dose and for the entire duration prescribed. Side effects of Voxamin include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, increased irritability, anxiety, delayed ejaculation, and loss of sexual drive. It can cause sedation, drowsiness, and decreased muscle coordination.
