Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml contains ondansetron as its active ingredient. It is an antiemetic medicine. It is primarily used in the treatment of nausea and vomiting, especially after conditions like pregn
ancy, substance abuse, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. It is also helpful in managing motion sickness and post-anaesthesia for major/minor surgeries. Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml can be easily administered to children to avoid nausea and vomiting after a major or minor surgery. Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml comes as a spray bottle and is to be sprayed over the tongue, typically 30mins to 1 hour before the procedure or as directed by your doctor. The usual effect typically lasts from 12-36 hours. Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml may cause side effects like headache, constipation, diarrhoea, and dizziness. It is not recommended for the age groups below 4 and above 65. It is advised to follow a healthy, suitable diet while managing nausea and vomiting. Fried and heavy foods should be avoided. Foods rich in vitamin C and folic acid should be included more in the diet. Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml contains lactose. Therefore, people who are lactose intolerant must consult their physician before taking it. Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml is to be taken under medical consultation only, especially when taken with any other medications that interact with serotonin levels.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Vomispray 2 MG
- Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml comes as an easy to use spray and should be taken as advised by your doctor.
- Vomi Spray can be sprayed over the tongue with or without food. You can follow it with a glass of water if required.
- Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml is to be taken 1 hour before chemotherapy/surgery.
- If you vomit within 1 hour of taking Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml, you will need to repeat the spray dose.
- Do not alter the dose of Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml without consulting your physician.
Interactions of Vomispray 2 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Vomi 2 Mg Spray 15 Ml should not be given along/given cautiously with:
- Apomorphine - Parkinson’s medication - can cause severe low blood pressure, loss of consciousness
- Tramadol, acetaminophen, ibuprofen (painkillers) - ondansetron decreases the efficacy of pain relief.
- Pregabalin, lorazepam (anti-anxiety) - carries the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Duloxetine (antidepressant) - carries the risk of serotonin syndrome (increased serotonin levels causing fever, shivering, increased heart rate).
- 5 hydroxytryptophan (dietary supplements) - increase the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Amisulpride (antidepressant) - increases irregular heartbeat.
- Isocarboxazid, fluoxetine (antidepressant) - increases the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Linezolid (antibiotics) - increases the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Fentanyl (opioid painkiller) - increases the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Citalopram, chlorpheniramine, cisapride, clozapine (antidepressant) - can cause serotonin syndrome.
- Chloroquine (antimalarial) - can cause irregular heartbeat
- Escitalopram (anti-anxiety ) - increases the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Mifepristone (used for medical termination of pregnancy) - increases the efficacy of ondansetron.
