Ulsore Mouth Gel is used to provide relief from pain, discomfort and swelling caused by mouth ulcers, cold sores, denture sores and sore spots due to dental devices. It contains a combination of chol
ine salicylate and lidocaine/lignocaine as active substances. Ulsore Mouth Gel works by blocking pain nerve signals, which helps to reduce pain sensation and swelling. This medicine is meant for topical application only and should not be ingested. Use it exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not use more than the prescribed amount or for longer periods than recommended. Before using Ulsore Mouth Gel, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding, and about your complete medical history. Also, inform about all the medicines and supplements that you take.

Uses of Ulsore Gel
Contraindications of Ulsore Gel
- If you are allergic to choline salicylate, lidocaine/lignocaine, salicylates, aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs), or any other ingredient of Ulsore Mouth Gel.
- If you are allergic to local anaesthetics of the amide type. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.
- If you are under 16 years of age.
- If you have an active peptic ulcer in the stomach or small intestine.
- If you are more than 6 months pregnant.
Side effects of Ulsore Gel
- These side effects are uncommon and observed only in very few individuals:

- You are pregnant.
- Your symptoms last for more than seven days, even after using the medicine.

Mode of Action of Ulsore Gel
How Does It Work?
- Ulsore Mouth Gel contains a combination of choline salicylate and lidocaine/lignocaine as active substances.
- Choline salicylate works by blocking the production of certain chemical substances in the body called prostaglandins which are responsible for causing pain, swelling and inflammation.
- Lidocaine/lignocaine is a local anaesthetic that blocks nerve pain signals from generation, thereby reducing pain and providing relief.
Directions for Use of Ulsore Gel
- Ulsore Mouth Gel should be used exactly as directed by your doctor.
- It is meant for external use and should not be swallowed.
- Apply to the affected area with clean hands.
- Wash your hands before and after applying this medicine.
- In case your eyes come in contact with this medicine, rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.
- Do not use more than the recommended amount.

Interactions with other medicines
- Since Ulsore Mouth Gel is to be applied topically, it is less likely to interact with other medicines.
- However, you should inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, herbals or supplements to treat any other health condition. Also, inform about any other topical medicines that you are applying....
- Ulsore Mouth Gel may increase the effect of anticoagulants or prevent the action of anti-gout medicines (uricosurics).
Storage and disposal of Ulsore Gel
- Store Ulsore Mouth Gel in a cool and dry place below 25°C away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Dosage of Ulsore Gel
Overdose
- Upon accidental ingestion of Ulsore Mouth Gel, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
- If you think you have applied extra quantities of this medicine, wipe out the excess with a clean tissue or cotton.
Missed a Dose
- If you missed applying Ulsore Mouth Gel, apply it as soon as you remember.
- If it's time for your next application, then skip the missed application and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
- Do not overapply to compensate for the missed application.
