Contraindications
- If you are allergic to isotretinoin or other ingredients of Tretiva 20 capsule.
- If you are using medicines called tetracyclines, a type of antibiotic like chlortetracycline or oxytetracycline. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you have liver disease.
- If you have high cholesterol levels or high vitamin A levels.

Interactions with other medicines
- Sometimes Tretiva 20 capsule may affect the way other medicines work, or other medicines may affect how this medicine works if taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Especially if you are using other creams and ointments like benzoyl peroxide, tazarotene, azelaic acid, and tretinoin should be avoided.
- You may develop high levels of Vitamin A in your body when taken along with Vitamin A supplements. You should not take them simultaneously.
- You may develop high blood pressure when taken along with tetracycline to treat an infection. You should avoid the concomitant use of these two medicines.
