Tazowin Inj is used for the treatment of generalised anxiety disorder and panic disorders. Tazowin Inj belongs to a class of medicines called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors with paroxetine

as its active ingredient. Paroxetine increases the amount of serotonin, a natural substance in the brain that maintains mental balance. You should take the Tazowin Inj as prescribed by your doctor. The duration and dose of taking Tazowin Inj vary depending on the patient’s condition and age. Tazowin Injs may cause minor to serious side effects such as sleepiness, headache, and forgetfulness. It is advised to consult your doctor before starting treatment with Tazowin Inj and get complete information on its potential side-effects and benefits. If you are taking medicine such as pimozide for mental disorder

Breast Feeding

Can I take a Tazowin Inj while breastfeeding?

Avoid taking Tazowin Inj while breastfeeding as it is found to be excreted in breast milk. If your child is sleeping more than usual, or any sign of breathing difficulty is noticed, or is unable to suckle, immediately consult your doctor.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken a Tazowin Inj?

No, it is not safe to drive when taking Tazowin Inj as it is known to cause impairment of mental and physical abilities required while driving a car. It may cause sleepiness, dizziness, confusion, forgetfulness and affect your judgement and thinking ability and hence not suggested to drive a car when under this medication.

No, alcohol must be avoided with Tazowin Inj as it causes all the side effects of an overdose which can be fatal.
