Medical Description

Tazowin Inj is used for the treatment of generalised anxiety disorder and panic disorders. Tazowin Inj belongs to a class of medicines called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors with paroxetine as its active ingredient. Paroxetine increases the amount of serotonin, a natural substance in the brain that maintains mental balance. You should take the Tazowin Inj as prescribed by your doctor. The duration and dose of taking Tazowin Inj vary depending on the patient’s condition and age. Tazowin Injs may cause minor to serious side effects such as sleepiness, headache, and forgetfulness. It is advised to consult your doctor before starting treatment with Tazowin Inj and get complete information on its potential side-effects and benefits. Functioning of Tazowin Inj may change or get affected negatively when taken with alcohol, a few herbal medicines for depression, and tryptophan containing nutritional supplements and therefore must be avoided. Interaction of Tazowin Inj with certain medications used in anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, diabetes, migraine, or an infection is known to produce life-threatening symptoms. Contraindications

Storage and disposal

Symptoms of an overdose of Tazowin Inj can be fatal and include CNS depression leading to drowsiness and coma. Overdose may also produce serious symptoms like uncontrolled shaking of a part of the body, seizure, difficulty in breathing, fainting and difficulty in urinating. If you happen to take too much of the Tazowin Inj, reach out to your doctor or the nearest hospital immediately.

Missed a Dose

Tazowin Inj is generally prescribed to be taken once daily with food at night before bedtime. If you have missed a dose of Tazowin Inj, take it immediately when you remember it. However, you should skip a missed dose of this injection when enough time has passed and it is time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose of Tazowin Inj to make up for the missed dose. This may lead to overdosing
