Mode of Action of Spasmid Tablet 10
How Does It Work?
Dicyclomine reduces the spasm of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, which relieves spasmodic pains. In addition, Paracetamol helps to reduce fevers.
Directions for Use of Spasmid Tablet 10
- This medication should be taken as prescribed by your doctor
- Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water
- You can take it with or without food

Interactions with other medicines
- Antiarrhythmic agents like quinidine, antihistamines, antipsychotic agents, benzodiazepines, MAO inhibitors, narcotic analgesics (e.g., meperidine), nitrates and nitrites, sympathomimetic agents, tricyclic antidepressants increase the action of dicyclomine...
- Anticholinergics, including dicyclomine, oppose the action of medicines for glaucoma and gastrointestinal absorption of digoxin
- The effect of warfarin and coumarin is increased with prolonged use of paracetamol and increased risk of bleeding
- Metoclopramide may increase the action of paracetamol
- Domperidone may increase the action of absorption of paracetamol
- Colestyramine reduces absorption if given within one hour of paracetamol
