Medical Description

Silverdine Cream is a wound management product with antimicrobial and antiseptic actions. Silverdine Cream helps prevent infection on the wound, burns, minor cuts, abrasions and skin ulcers. It contains a combination of silver sulphadiazine and chlorhexidine. It helps reduce local irritation, swelling, pain and retain moisture within the skin and can promote quick healing. In case you experience any of the side effects or you feel any discomfort after using Silverdine Cream, discontinue the use and inform the doctor.

Uses

Silverdine Cream is used in wound care such as for cuts, burns, skin ulcers, incisions and minor skin injuries.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to silver or other ingredients of Silverdine Cream.
  • Silverdine Cream should not be applied to bleeding wounds.

How Does It Work?

Silver present in Silverdine Cream is an anti-microbial agent. It kills microorganisms by destroying the cell wall. It has anti-inflammatory action due to which reduces swelling and pain. Chlorhexidine gets absorbed on the cell surface of microorganisms and causes leakage of cellular components and kills the microbes which could cause infection.
