Description
Sertagress 50 mg Tablet is used for depression along with panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Sertagress contains sertraline as the chief ingredient. Sertagress 50 mg Tablets affects
our central nervous system(brain) and helps balance chemicals, promoting relaxation and improving mood. It is a prescription medication and can have several side effects if taken unsupervised. Dose adjustments may be needed in patients depending upon their age, sex and severity of the condition. Abruptly discontinuing it may result in withdrawal symptoms like tingling in arms and legs, sweating, and abnormal mood changes.

How Does It Work?
Sertagress Tablets function by affecting a chemical messenger in our brain called serotonin. It is mainly responsible for controlling the mood.
Sertagress Tablets contain sertraline. It is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and helps balance chemicals in the brain, improving the patients’ mood and thought process....
Directions for Use
- Sertagress Tablets should only be used after recommendation by a doctor.
- Sertagress Tablets can be taken with a glass of water, with or without food.
- Sertagress Tablets should be swallowed whole.
- Do not chew or crush it.
- Avoid using Sertagress Tablets if the seal of the packet is not intact.
- Do not let anyone else use the medication.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Abciximab, when combined with sertraline, may increase the chances of bleeding in the gastrointestinal system.
- Acarbose may lead to increased blood sugar.
- Aceclofenac may increase the chances of gastric bleeding.
- Atomoxetine decreases the metabolism of sertraline.
- Zopiclone may increase the risk of side effects.
- Valproate bismuth increases the chances of serotonin syndrome (characterised by high blood pressure, confusion and muscle rigidity).
