Serta 25 mg can be used for treating Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMS) in women. Serta 25 mg belongs to the class of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants. The mode of action of Serta 25 mg involves boosting serotonin levels in the brain, which helps stabilise mood and regulate a person's overall feeling well-being. Directions of use of Serta 25 mg should be strictly followed while on the medicine. It is crucial to maintain the intake time of this medicine so that a certain level of medication is sustained in the body. Suddenly stopping this medicine or changing the dose can result in withdrawal symptoms. Common side effects of Serta 25 mg include indigestion, vomiting, nausea, tremors, low sexual desire, diarrhoea, delayed ejaculation, etc. This medication shouldn't be given to children below the age of 6.

  • If you take any medicines for depression that belong to the monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) class.
