Septran 400/80 Mg Syrup 60 Ml
Septran 400/80 Mg Syrup 60 Ml Description
Septran syrup is an antibiotic that is used to treat infections caused by bacteria like urinary tract infections, upper respiratory tract infections, ear infections, pneumonia. This syrup contains a
combination of trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole as its active ingredients. This syrup acts by inhibiting the formation of a substance called tetrahydrofolate which is necessary for bacterial survival. The inhibition of terahydrofolate synthesis eventually prevents the growth and reproduction of bacteria. Septran syrup is to be used in infants greater than 6 months of age and in children less than 12 years of age. This medicine should be given to your child in the exact dose and quantity as prescribed by the doctor. Even if your child feels better after taking the medicine for few days, complete the entire duration of medication as recommended by the doctor to prevent treatment failure.
