Medical Description
Romilast R tablet is a prescription medicine used in children for long-term asthma control, prevention of exercise-related airway narrowing, and relief of seasonal or year-round allergic rhinitis symptoms. It contains montelukast, which blocks substances called leukotrienes that can swell and tighten the airways. This reduces airway inflammation and sensitivity to allergens or exercise, but it does not provide immediate relief during a sudden asthma attack. Romilast R tablet is taken by mouth with or without food as directed.
