Medical Description
Restimulen oral drop is a prescription medicine used to stimulate breathing in selected situations where a doctor has decided that breathing support is needed. It contains prethcamide, a respiratory stimulant that acts on brain areas involved in breathing control. By increasing signals to these areas, prethcamide may increase respiratory effort under close medical supervision. The oral liquid is used by mouth with the measuring device supplied with the pack. A sudden or severe breathing problem needs urgent medical assessment rather than self-treatment.
