Interactions with other medicines

The bioavailability of ciprofloxacin decreases when co-administered with sevelamer
Co-administration of sevelamer with cyclosporin, mycophenolate mofetil reduces levels of cyclosporin when given to transplant patients
Co-administration with levothyroxine may lead to hypothyroidism in rare cases; therefore, close monitoring of thyroid-stimulating hormone levels is recommended
Caution should be exercised when taking anti-arrhythmic and anti-seizure medicinal products
Co-administration with proton pump inhibitors may cause an increase in phosphate levels in very rare cases
The medicinal product should not be administered with this medication as it may cause a reduction in bioavailability
