Proma Sr 40mg Tablets is used for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease to increase blood flow in the blood vessels. It contains isoxsuprine, a vasodilating medicine. Proma Sr 40mg Tablets wo
rks by widening the blood vessels and improving the blood flow in the hands, feet or brain. You will be given Proma Sr 40mg Tablets at the hospital or clinic by a doctor. Do not self-inject this medicine. Before taking Proma Sr 40mg Tablets , inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history, including the medicines you are already taking.

- Cerebral vascular insufficiency (reduced blood flow to the brain).
- Arteriosclerosis (when oxygen-carrying blood vessels (arteries) become thick and stiff).
- Thromboangiitis obliterans also known as Buerger's disease (an inflammatory condition of the blood vessels).
- Raynaud’s disease (inadequate blood flow to the toes/fingers in a cold environment).
- It can also be used to relax the smooth muscles of the uterus to stop premature labour.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to isoxsuprine or any of the ingredients of Proma Sr 40mg Tablets .
- If you have low blood pressure (hypotension).
- If you have fast/irregular heartbeats.
- If you have any recent bleeding conditions.

- Proma Sr 40mg Tablets can make you feel dizzy. So, it is advised to get up slowly if you are rising up from a sitting or lying position.
- It should not be used on children.
