Pramipex 0.5 MG Description

Pramipex 0.5 tablet contains Pramipexole as its active ingredient. It is used for treating the signs and symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Pramipex 0.5 can be taken with or without food.

Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history. Pramirol tablet, Pexopram tablet, Prexol tablet, Mirator tablet and Prexol Sr tablet also contain Pramipexole as their active ingredient.

Pregnancy

Can I take Pramipex Tablet during pregnancy?

Pramipex Tablet should not be used during pregnancy, as there is limited information about its safety in human pregnancy.
However, your doctor may give you this medicine only if it is really needed and advantage overweighs the risk.
You should consult your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be or are planning for a baby, before starting this medicine.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Pramipex Tablet while breastfeeding?

Pramipex Tablet should not be used while breastfeeding as it can reduce the production of breast milk.
It is also unknown if Pramipexole passes into breast milk, hence you should not breast feed, while taking this medicine.
An alternative medicine is a better option and especially when nursing a new-born or premature baby.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Pramipex Tablet?

Pramipex Tablet may make you feel dizzy and sleepy, you should avoid driving if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Pramipex Tablet?

You should avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with Pramipex Tablet.

Pramipex Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
Swallow it whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
