Medical Description
Novoseven Dry powder for injection is a specialist treatment used to control or prevent bleeding in certain inherited or acquired bleeding disorders and around selected procedures. It contains eptacog alfa, an activated form of clotting factor seven that can help when usual clotting factors are missing or blocked. Eptacog alfa starts clot formation at an injured blood vessel so a stable clot can seal the bleeding area. The powder is mixed into a clear solution and given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic with close monitoring.
