Contraindications
- If you are allergic to amoxicillin or any other ingredients of Novamox capsule.
- If you have a history of any allergic reactions to penicillins or cephalosporins. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.
- If you have infectious mononucleosis or glandular fever caused by the Epstein–Barr virus.

Other General Warnings
- If you are unable to or have trouble in urinating.
- If you have kidney problems.
- If you have glandular fever, you may experience symptoms like fever, extreme tiredness, sore throat and swollen glands.
- If you experience watery or bloody diarrhoea or fever, even if this occurs days after stopping this medicine, immediately consult a doctor.
Directions for Use
- Take Novamox capsule as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- Take it at a fixed time for optimal results, and do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
- Complete the course of this antibiotic medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Storage and disposal
- Store Novamox capsule below 25°C in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
- Please keep it away from children and pets.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Novamox capsule works, or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Concomitant use of medicines used to treat gout-like Allopurinol and Probenecid with this medicine can increase the effect of the Novamox capsule.
- The effect of Methotrexate, medicines to treat cancers may increase when used together with Novamox capsule.
- Medicines like Warfarin and Heparin which are also known as blood thinners or anticoagulants.
- Other antibiotics can interfere with the effects of Novamox capsule when used together.
