• If you are allergic to chlorpheniramine, dextromethorphan, or any other components of the New Glycodin syrup.
• If you have recently taken medicines for brain-related disorders like isocarboxazid, phenelzine, selegiline, etc. or for 2 weeks after stopping this medicine. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.

• Dizziness
• Drowsiness
• Headache
• Nausea
• Vomiting

Other General Warnings

• You have a cough for a long duration with a lot of mucous (like asthma, emphysema, or smoking).
• You have an eye problem like glaucoma (increase pressure in the eye).
• You have difficulty in urination and frequent urge to go to urination (enlarged prostate).
• You have problems with your heart and liver.
• You have any breathing problems, high blood pressure and fits.
• You are elderly or a child.

• Take the New Glycodin syrup as advised by the doctor.
• Shake well before use.
• Carefully measure the dose using a measuring cup or spoon.
• Do not consume this medicine directly from the bottle.

• Store New Glycodin syrup below 25°C in a clean and dry place, protected from moisture, sunlight and heat.
• Keep the medicine away from children and pets.

• New Glycodin syrup is a cough and cold preparation. It is used for the temporary relief of cough due to throat irritation and allergic conditions like sneezing and runny nose.
• Take this cough syrup as instructed by your doctor. Shake it well before use.

How Does It Work?

• New Glycodin syrup contains a combination of chlorpheniramine and dextromethorphan as its active ingredients.
• Natural substances like histamine are released in our body which are responsible for allergies, such as sneezing or runny nose. Chlorpheniramine blocks the effect of these substances and provides relief in symptoms of a common cold.
• There are specific areas in the brain (cough centre), which when activated, produces coughing. Dextromethorphan affects these areas and deactivates them, thus helps in relieving the coughing.

• Certain medicines can interfere with the action of New Glycodin syrup or this medicine itself can affect the action of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• In particular, if you are taking medicines for brain-related disorders like alprazolam, medicines used to treat cough, muscle-relaxing medicines, and other antihistamines medicines such as cetirizine or diphenhydramine.
