  • Paroxetine or sertraline when co-administered with phenytoin may lower the seizure threshold
  • There is a significant increase in blood glucose levels and therefore the dosage of diabetic medications like insulin or oral antidiabetic agents (glibenclamide, tolbutamide) may have to be increased
  • Co-administration of Rifampicin and phenytoin may decrease plasma concentration of phenytoin by CYP2C mechanism
