Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops

• If you are allergic to the active ingredient oxymetazoline.
• If you are suffering from diabetes.
• If you have an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism).
• If you have any disorder related to blood vessel or the heart.
• If you have an eye condition with a damaged optic nerve (glaucoma).
• If you have an enlarged prostate gland (in men).

• Mild burning and/or tingling sensation in nose
• Runny nose
• Sneezing
• Dryness in throat and mouth
• Prolonged use may lead to recurrent congestion (redness, irritation and blocked nasal pathway)
• It is recommended to visit the doctor or nearest hospital if you experience the following symptoms; ongoing or the present condition that worsens, severe burning and/or stinging sensation in the nose, pain in the chest, irregular/fast heart rate, severe headache, breathlessness, confusion and anxiety

Other General Warnings

• You are allergic to the active ingredient in the nasal drops.
• You are on medication to treat mood disorders (monoamine oxidase inhibitors), medicines used to treat throbbing headaches (ergot alkaloids), medicines used to relax the muscles in the lungs (beta-adrenergic bronchodilators).
• You experience congestion again (redness, irritation and blocked nasal pathway) as it can be a symptom of rebound congestion.
• You are suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease.
• You are suffering from a condition of non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia), as prolonged use of this medicine may lead to an increase in difficulty in urination.
• You experience any discomfort like a burning sensation or irritation in the nose.
• Do not use it in children below 12 years of age.
• Do not use for more than 7 days.
• Keep away from eyes.

• Use these spray in dosage and duration as recommended by your doctors.
• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Clean your nose before use of the spray.
• Hold the bottle upright and insert the nozzle into the nostril, and close the other nostril. Keep your head in the upright position.
• Squeeze the spray pack hard in the centre of the bottle and inhale deeply. Take a deep breath. Repeat for the other nostril and replace the cap after use.
• Do not blow your nose for a few minutes after administering the spray.
• Avoid sharing the same bottle as it may spread infection.
• Wash your hands before and after application.

• Store at room temperature (10-30°C) in a cool and dry place.
• Keep the medicine out of reach from children and pets.

Overdose

• If you think you have sprayed a higher dose of the medicine contact your doctor or nearest hospital immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include irritation and itching in the nasal area and reappearance of the congestion of the nasal airway region.

Interactions with other medicines

• Concomitant use with medicines that are used for treating mood disorders (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) may lead to adverse effects. The use of nasal spray should be by individuals at least 14 days after completing the treatment.
• Nasivion Nasal Drop should not be co-administered with medicines used to treat throbbing headaches like a migraine (ergot alkaloids) as it may increase the risk of adverse events.
• Nasivion Nasal Drop should be used with caution along with a class of medicine that are used to dilate the airways in the lungs by relaxing the muscles around it (beta-adrenergic bronchodilators) as it may increase the adverse reactions.
