Medical Description

MTP Kit is strictly used under medical supervision for the prescribed clinical condition. It contains two active medications: mifepristone and misoprostol. Mifepristone is an anti-hormone (anti-progestogen) that blocks the action of progesterone, a hormone that a woman needs to continue being pregnant. Misoprostol is a medication that increases the contraction of the uterus, which dilates the cervix. Nausea, uterine cramps, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, and in some cases uterine bleeding may occur. Most of these side effects of MTP Kit go away with time. However, if vaginal bleeding does not stop, it is an emergency, and you need to seek medical attention immediately.

No, the MTP kit can make you dizzy and tired. As a result, if you experience sleepiness, you should not drive.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with the MTP Kit?

No. Alcohol is linked with an increased incidence of adverse effects. Thus it must be avoided.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

If you consume more than the daily recommended amount, it may result in toxicity in the body or other negative consequences.
After 14 days following MTP kit delivery, a follow-up appointment is required to confirm legal abortion and check to bleed.
