- Moxikind-CV Forte dry syrup contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid as active substances.
- Amoxicillin binds to certain proteins called penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and prevents the formation of the bacterial cell wall. This results in the death of infection-causing bacteria.
- However, bacteria can make an enzyme called beta-lactamase that can destroy amoxicillin. Clavulanic acid inactivates beta-lactamase in the bacteria that can prevent amoxicillin from functioning optimally in the body....
