Moxam 400 MG Description

Moxam Strip of 4 Tablets contains moxifloxacin as the active molecule. This tablet is used to treat several bacterial infections such as community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial sinusitis, chron

ic bronchitis, skin infections, intra-abdominal infections, and plague. Moxam tablets works by inhibiting the substances required for bacterial growth. This tablet is available only on doctor's prescription and should be taken at a dose and duration recommended by a doctor. Moxam tablets cannot be used in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. In addition to this, Moxam tablet is also not used in patients allergic to moxifloxacin or any other quinolone antibiotic medications or in patients with heart or liver problems. Headache, dizziness, nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhoea are commonly observed side effects with this tablet. If the side effects persists for a longer time, seek medical advice.

Moxam Tablet is an antibiotic containing Moxifloxacin as the active component. Moxifloxacin inhibits the process of bacterial growth by inhibiting enzymes required for their growth.

  • Antacids, multivitamins, or sucralfate medications decreases the absorption of Moxifloxacin from the stomach
  • Concomitant use of warfarin increases the action of warfarin
  • Concomitant use of medications used to treat arrhythmia can worsen arrhythmia
  • Concomitant use of medications used to treat diabetes causes disturbances in the blood glucose levels
  • Concomitant use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents increases the risk of fits
