Medical Description
Morr F 5 solution is used to treat baldness and hair loss (androgenic alopecia) in men. Morr F 5 solution contains minoxidil and finasteride as active ingredients. Both these medicines work together to prevent hair loss and promote regrowth of hair.
Morr F 5 solution should not be used in women due to the presence of finasteride, which may cause hormonal changes in females. It is meant for use on the scalp only. Do not apply Morr F solution to any other part of the body. Imxia F solution, Kera Fm solution, Chekfall F solution, Brintop F solution, and Mx F Solution also have minoxidil and finasteride as active ingredients.
Before applying, make sure your scalp is clean and dry. Using the dropper provided or as directed by your doctor, take the prescribed amount of Morr F solution. Parting your hair exposes the areas of the scalp where hair is falling out. Apply the solution directly to the scalp, paying special attention to these areas.
Massage the solution into your scalp with your fingertips. Leave the solution on the scalp for at least 4 hours without washing it off for best results. To avoid contact with other parts of your body, remember to thoroughly wash your hands after applying Morr F solution. It is critical to follow your doctor's instructions or those listed on the product label.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Minoxidil dilates the blood vessels of the scalp, increases the blood flow to the hair follicles helping in the regrowth of hair.
- Finasteride works by reducing the production of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In males with hereditary or premature risk for baldness, this hormone DHT is believed to bind to hair follicles and cause them to shrink resulting in hair loss. Thus, both these medicines work together to prevent hair loss and promote regrowth of hair.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Certain medicines can affect the way the Morr F 5 solution works or the Morr F 5 solution itself can affect the action of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Morr F 5 solution may interact with other topical medicines which you are using on the scalp and produce an altered response. Please tell your doctor if you are using any other medicines, over-the-counter medicines (that you buy without a prescription) and herbal preparations.
- Caution must be exercised by patients who are taking medicines for high blood pressure as a combined effect of both the medicines may cause a slight fall in blood pressure, especially while standing (orthostatic hypotension).
