Modus 10 MG Description

Modus Tablet is a hormonal medicine & it contains Medroxyprogesterone as an active ingredient. It contains a human-made form of a female sex hormone progesterone. Modus Tablet is given to correct the

abnormal levels of female sex hormones resulting in various disorders related to the female reproductive cycle such as irregular menstrual periods, absence of menses, delayed periods, abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis (tissue growth outside the uterus). Modus Tablet 10 should never be used during pregnancy and women with a known history of breast cancer. This medicine can lead to heart-related disorders such as stroke, heart attack, memory loss and ovarian cancer, and the risk is more in postmenopausal women.

Uses of Modus 10 MG

Modus Tablet is used in the treatment of irregular periods, abnormal bleeding, absence of menstruation, endometriosis and delayed menstrual cycle.

Contraindications of Modus 10 MG

If you are allergic to Medroxyprogesterone or any ingredients of Modus Tablet.
It should not be used during pregnancy or by someone who is trying to conceive or may be pregnant.
Women with a history of breast cancer, heart-related disorder or liver disorder.
Women with blood clotting disorders such as thrombosis and porphyria (a blood disorder, which affects the nervous system and skin).

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Modus Tablet?

Modus Tablet does not affect your driving abilities. Be careful if you experience any side effects which can interfere with your driving abilities.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Modus Tablet?

Alcohol weakens bones by decreasing bone density when it is taken with Modus Tablet.

You have asthma, diabetes, liver problems or gallstones.
You are suffering from migraine, mood disorders or epilepsy.
You have an allergic condition characterised by joint pain, skin rashes, or high fever.
You may experience weight gain and oedema when on this medicine. Inform your doctor if you experience the same.
The risk of blood clot formation increases if you are overweight or you ever had a blood clot in veins.
You have limited movement due to surgery, or you had repeated miscarriages in the past.
