Medical Description
Magnesium SO4 Injection is a hospital medicine used to correct seriously low magnesium levels and to prevent or control life-threatening seizures linked with severe pregnancy-related high blood pressure, called pre-eclampsia or eclampsia. Its active ingredient is magnesium sulphate, which supplies magnesium needed for normal nerve, muscle and heart function. It calms excessive nerve and muscle activity and can help reduce seizure risk while correcting the deficiency. This injection is given into a vein or muscle by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, and is not for self-injection.
