• If you have kidney issues
• If you have liver disease
• If you have cardiovascular ailments
• If you have been diagnosed with any severe sleep disorder
• If you have asthma
• If you have wide-angle glaucoma (increased intra-eye pressure due to blockage of eye canals due to wide-angle between iris and cornea)
• If you have closed-angle glaucoma (increased intra-eye pressure due to narrow-angle between iris and cornea)
• If you have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder
• If you have a history of substance abuse

Other General Warnings

• You experience any allergy after taking Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab. like rashes, hives or swelling on the face.
• You want to increase/decrease the dose of the medication or discontinue it.
• You experience side-effects that are too severe, disrupt your everyday life, and do not seem to go away with use.
• You have missed any dose/doses of Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab.
• You are diagnosed with other medical issues during the course of Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab.
• You conceive during the course of Lonafest Tab or are planning a pregnancy.

• Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab is taken by keeping above/below the tongue and dissolving in the mouth without water. Do not chew or crush it.
• Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab can be taken with/without food.
• For optimal pharmacological effects, Lonafest Tab should be taken at the same time every day.
• Do not alter the dose without consulting your physician.
• Do not stop taking Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab suddenly as it may cause withdrawal symptoms like dizziness, headaches, and sleep issues.

Interactions with other medicines

• The following medications are known to have adverse reactions with Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab :
• Oxycodone (opioids) - can cause breathing difficulties, which can be fatal if not managed properly.
• NSAIDs like aspirin and anticoagulants like warfarin can increase the risk of bleeding episodes.
• Sedatives/hypnotics can increase the risk of breathing problems due to severe respiratory depression.
• Cimetidine and Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab taken together may cause severe side effects like confusion, dizziness and fatigue.
• Rifampicin (anti-tuberculosis) can cause severe liver problems.
• Sodium Oxybate and Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab may cause serious side effects like breathing difficulties, low blood pressure, coma, and even death.

Interactions with food items

• Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab has no reported cases of adverse food reactions. A regular diet can be followed unless advised otherwise by your physician.
• Alcohol consumption is prohibited while on therapy with Lonafest Md 0.5mg Tab as it can increase the severity of side effects like confused thinking, muscle tremors, nausea, and dizziness.
