Medical Description

Leupo Injection contains Leuprorelin (also called leuprolide) as its active ingredient. It is used to treat prostate cancer in men. In women, it is used for the treatment of uterine fibroids and endometriosis (a condition that causes symptoms like painful periods, excessive bleeding, pain while passing urine, etc). It is also used to treat very early puberty in children. This medicine will be given to you in a hospital or clinic by a doctor or nurse as an injection. You should avoid self-injecting. Before using Leupo Injection, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

  • Leupo Injection is used in men for the treatment of prostate cancer.
  • It is also used in women to treat uterine fibroids and endometriosis (causing symptoms such as menstrual cramps, excessive bleeding, pain while urinating, etc).
  • This medicine is also used in children to treat early puberty.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to Leuprorelin or any other ingredients of Leupo Injection.
  • If you experience abnormal or irregular vaginal bleeding, which the doctor is unaware of.
  • If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

Dosage

Overdose
