Lemolate Gold Strip Of 10 Tablets Description
Lemolate Gold Tablet is a cough and cold preparation that is used to relieve fever, cold, cough, allergies, nasal congestion, headache, mild pain, etc. It contains a combination of three medicines -
Paracetamol, Caffeine and Phenylephrine. D cold tablet works by the combined action of its three components. Paracetamol helps in reducing body temperature, Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant and helps in the stuffed and congested nose and caffeine is a stimulant. Lemolate Gold Tablet should not be taken for more than the prescribed quantity and duration. If the fever persists for more than three days, consult your doctor. It should not be used for children under the age of 16 years.

Contraindications of Lemolate Gold Strip Of 10 Tablets
- If you are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine, phenylephrine or any other element of this tablet.
- If you are using any other nasal decongestant (medicine to clear blocked nose).
- If you have a tumour in the adrenal gland.
- If you have an eye condition or increased eye pressure inside your eyes (Glaucoma).
- If you have either a severe liver or kidney disease or thyroid disorder.
- If you have diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease.
- If you are using medicines for psychiatric disorders such as Amitriptyline, Desipramine, Isocarboxazid and Selegiline.
- If you are using medicines like Atenolol, Metoprolol, etc to treat blood pressure.

- You are taking any other medicine that contains paracetamol, ideally you should avoid other products containing paracetamol while taking Lemolate Gold Tablet.
- You have any liver-related disorder or liver dysfunction.
- You have an enlarged of the prostate gland.
- You have a heart-related disorder.
- You have a disorder where the colour of the skin changes when exposed to hot and cold temperatures.
- You consume excess coffee, tea and some caffeinated drinks.
Mode of Action of Lemolate Gold Strip Of 10 Tablets
How Does It Work?
- Lemolate Gold Tablet contains three ingredients - Paracetamol, Caffeine and Phenylephrine.
- Paracetamol helps in reducing fever. It reduces the fever by inhibiting chemical substances that cause the increase in temperature and also acts as a pain killer.
- Phenylephrine acts by constricting the blood vessels around the nose and thus, reduces swelling. This helps in clearing the blocked nose.
- Caffeine is a mild stimulant. It stimulates the nervous system and improves the pain-relieving action of paracetamol.
Directions for Use of Lemolate Gold Strip Of 10 Tablets
- D Cold tablet should be consumed after eating a meal.
- It should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of liquid.
Interactions of Lemolate Gold Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of Lemolate Gold Tablet with psychiatric medicines like Isocarboxazid and Selegiline can increase blood pressure and other heart-related side effects such as palpitations.
- Medicines such as Debrisoquine, Guanethidine, Reserpine and Methyldopa if taken along with Lemolate Gold Tablet, can increase the risk of heart-related side effects.
- The effect of other cold medicines like pseudoephedrine is reduced by Lemolate Gold Tablet.
- Blood pressure-lowering effect of anti-hypertensives such as Acebutolol and Atenolol is reduced by Lemolate Gold Tablet.
- Anti-coagulant effect of medicines like Warfarin is increased by Lemolate Gold Tablet and there can be a risk of bleeding.
- The effects of medicine like ergotamine used to treat migraine can be increased.
- The effect of medicine containing Lithium can be decreased if taken concomitantly with Lemolate Gold Tablet and it is advised to limit caffeine intake.
