• Acute diarrhoea: Sudden loose stools can cause water and salt loss; racecadotril reduces intestinal fluid secretion while oral rehydration replaces what the body loses.

• Headache: Fluid loss during diarrhoea or racecadotril itself may cause head pain; seek medical advice if it is severe or persistent.
• Nausea: Digestive upset can cause queasiness; seek care if vomiting prevents you from keeping fluids down.
• Dizziness: Water and salt loss can make you light-headed; sit down, use oral rehydration, and seek urgent help if you faint.
• Skin rash: A new rash may become itchy or red; stop Leedott and get emergency medical help for facial, lip or throat swelling or breathing difficulty.

• Use oral rehydration fluids to replace water and salts lost through diarrhoea.
• Choose light foods and avoid spicy, oily or sugary foods if they worsen symptoms.
• Watch for dry mouth, very little urine, marked weakness or dizziness, which may indicate dehydration.
• Seek medical care for blood or pus in stool, high fever, severe abdominal pain or repeated vomiting.
• Do not use Leedott tablet beyond seven days without medical review.
