Uses
- L Cetriver Syrup is used to provide relief of the symptoms of allergic rhinitis like sneezing, itchy nose, runny or blocked nose, cough and red and watery eyes.
- It is also used to treat the symptoms of nettle rash (urticaria) in adults and children aged 2 years and above.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, any other piperazine derivatives or any other ingredient of L Cetriver Syrup.
- If you have kidney failure/end stage kidney disease with an estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR) below 10 ml/min and require dialysis.
Side effects
- Headache, sleepiness, dry mouth, tiredness (adults and adolescents)
- Vomiting, diarrhoea, sleepiness, sleep disturbances (children)

- You drink alcohol daily or frequently.
- You experience fits/seizures or are at risk of convulsions.
- You have a chance of not passing urine completely due to some underlying cause or disease.

- L Cetriver Syrup should be used exactly as directed by your doctor.
- Shake well before use.
- Use a measuring spoon or cup for the exact quantity.
- Do not take more than the prescribed dose.

- Store L Cetriver Syrup in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Overdose
- Symptoms of overdose of L Cetriver Syrup include sleepiness in adults and restlessness and sleepiness in children.
- If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
- If you missed a dose of L Cetriver Syrup, take it as soon as you remember.
- If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
- Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.
