Medical Description

Kenozole BG cream is used for treating dermatophyte skin infections such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea manus and tinea pedis. The cream can also be used for other skin infections such as dermatitis, Malassezia and candidosis. It can be applied externally on the skin, except close to your eyes and nose. It is also used to treat infections like impetigo, ringworm, and seborrhea. Common side effects include pruritis, rash, redness, swelling, irritation of the skin, burning or sensation. Store the medication in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Before starting the treatment, give a detailed account of your medical history and current medications.

Dosage

Overdose

Excessive application may lead to skin rash, swelling and application site burning sensation. Clean and rinse the area with water. In case of accidental ingestion, it is advisable to report to the doctor, and symptomatic treatment should be carried out.

Missed a Dose

If the dose is skipped, the medication should be applied as soon as you remember. However, if the duration of the second dose is near, avoid the previous dose and follow the regular schedule.

Kenozole BG cream contains ketoconazole, gentamicin and beclomethasone; ketoconazole possesses anti-mycotic and anti-fungal activity/ The drug is from the imidazole category, which inhibits the ergosterol synthesis and increases the membrane fluidity to prevent the growth of the fungus. Gentamicin is an antibiotic that inhibits the protein synthesis of the bacteria and treats bacterial skin infections. Beclometasone is a steroid that helps in preventing the inflammation of the skin.
