Juvobin Injection contains Darbepoetin alfa as it's active medicine. It is used in the treatment of anaemia (low haemoglobin level in blood) due to long term kidney disease and medication (chemothera

py) used in the treatment of certain types of cancer. Juvobin works by increasing the production of red blood cells in bone marrow (soft and spongy tissue inside of bones, where blood is formed). This Injection will be administered to you by a healthcare professional such as doctor or nurse ay hospital or clinc.

Pregnancy

Can I take Juvobin Injection during pregnancy?

There is no adequate data for the effects of Juvobin Injection on unborn babies, thus it should be avoided in pregnant women. If you become pregnant while on the treatment with this medicine immediately inform your doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Juvobin Injection while breastfeeding?

It is not known if components of Juvobin Injection pass in breastmilk or not. This medicine should be taken by lactating mother only if prescribed by a doctor.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken Juvobin Injection?

Juvobin Injection can cause fits, especially during the first few months of treatment. Avoid driving while on this medicine.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Juvobin Injection?

Consuming alcohol while taking Juvobin Injection can increase risk of seizure. Avoid alcohol if you are taking this medicine.

How Does It Work?

It works by increasing the production of red blood cells in bone marrow (soft and spongy tissue inside of bones, where blood is formed).

Juvobin Injection will be given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital/clinic.
Do not self inject, follow any aftercare instructions given by the doctor/nurse.
