Uses
- Grafyrec Injection is used to manage specific reproductive health conditions in women.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to recombinant FSH products or any component of Grafyrec Injection (reactions have included anaphylaxis).
- High FSH levels indicating primary ovarian or testicular failure.
- Uncontrolled non-gonadal endocrine disorders (for example, thyroid, adrenal, or pituitary disorders).
- Sex hormone-dependent tumors of the reproductive tract or accessory organs.
- Tumors of the pituitary gland or hypothalamus.
- Abnormal uterine bleeding of unknown cause.
- Ovarian cyst or enlargement of unknown cause.

- You have, or have had, ovarian cysts, ovarian torsion, polycystic ovarian disease, or abnormal vaginal bleeding of unknown cause (women).
- You have a personal or family history of blood clots, or other risk factors for blood clots such as severe obesity.
- You have asthma or a history of lung problems.
- You have had stomach (abdominal) surgery.
- You have thyroid, adrenal, or pituitary problems that are not well controlled.
- You have had a tumor of the reproductive organs, breast, pituitary gland, or hypothalamus.
- You are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
Directions for Use
- Grafyrec Injection is given as an injection under the skin only, by a trained healthcare provider, exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- At times, your doctor might ask you to self-administer the medicine at home, but this should be done only after proper training from a healthcare provider.
- Do not change the dose or schedule unless your healthcare provider tells you to. Change the injection site as shown by your healthcare provider to reduce discomfort.
- Never attempt to change, delay, skip, or repeat a dose on your own.
Storage and disposal
- Before first use, unopened vials of Grafyrec Injection are stored either in the refrigerator, between 36°F and 46°F (2°C to 8°C), or at room temperature, between 68°F and 77°F (20°C to 25°C), until the expiry date, protected from light.
- Grafyrec Injection and all medicines are kept out of the reach of children.
Quick Tips
- Follow your monitoring schedule closely, including blood tests, urine tests, and ultrasound scans, as this therapy requires close supervision.
- Report severe pelvic pain, sudden weight gain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or reduced urination immediately to your doctor, as these may be signs of OHSS.
- If you develop symptoms like one-sided abdominal pain, or shoulder, neck, or rectal pain together with nausea, inform your doctor immediately, as this may signal an ectopic pregnancy.
- Talk with your partner about the possibility of a multiple pregnancy before starting therapy.
- Do not change your dose or injection schedule unless your healthcare provider tells you to. Change your injection site each time, as shown by your healthcare provider.
