Interactions with other medicines
- Glucored Forte can interact with carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, which is used for glaucoma and can cause lactic acidosis
- Using this medication with other hypoglycemia can cause severe hypoglycemia
- It is not advisable to use this medication with bosentan, as it can elevate the liver enzymes
- Diuretics, when used with Glucored Forte, can cause hyperglycemia
- NSAIDs, when given with metformin, it increases the risk of lactic acidosis
- Inhibitors of organic cation transporters 1, such as verapamil, may reduce the efficacy of metformin
- Inducers of organic cation transporters 1, such as rifampicin, increase gastrointestinal absorption and the effectiveness of metformin
- Concomitant administration of colesevelam may lead to reduced glyburide absorption
