Contraindications
- If you are allergic to metformin or any other ingredient of Glucomet 500 tablet.
- If you have kidney or liver disease.
- If you have conditions such as dehydration, shock, or severe infection.
- If you have an acid-base imbalance in the body or diabetes complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis.
- If you have conditions such as heart failure, lung failure, shock, or heart attack.
- If you had unconsciousness due to either extremely high or low blood sugar levels.

Directions for Use

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Glucomet 500 tablet works, or Glucomet 500 tablet itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Care should be taken if you are taking medicines to treat abnormal/irregular heart rhythm (verapamil), tuberculosis (rifampicin), acidity/heartburn (cimetidine), cancer (olaparib).
- Diuretics, oral contraceptives, isoniazid, corticosteroids, phenytoin, nicotinic acid, calcium channel blockers, thyroid medicines, oestrogen tablets, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptors antagonists increase blood sugar levels and can cause damage in the kidneys, especially in individuals who are suffering from kidney disorders.
