Medical Description
FQ OZ tablet is a combination medicine for selected bacterial and parasitic infections in adults, including infective diarrhoea, dysentery, digestive tract infections and urinary infections. It contains ofloxacin, an antibiotic that acts against susceptible bacteria, and ornidazole, a medicine that acts against certain parasites and oxygen-free bacteria. Ofloxacin blocks bacterial processes needed for growth, while ornidazole damages the genetic material of susceptible germs. FQ OZ tablet is taken by mouth as a whole tablet with water and only for the infection prescribed.
