- You are an elderly patient over 65 years of age, this medicine can cause increased side effects due to slow metabolism.
- You are currently using any medications like pain relievers, cold or cough medicine, or allergy medicines that cause sedation or tranquillisation, consult your doctor first.
- You have any respiratory diseases, use this medicine with caution.
- You have liver or kidney problems.
- You have constipation.
- You are using any ayurvedic or herbal medicines or supplements, notify your doctor as some of them can cause serious side effects.
- Fortwin Tablets are not advised for children under 18 years of age, as there are not enough studies on this medicine’s safety. They should not be given this medicine without medical consultation.
Directions for Use
- Take a Fortwin Tablet exactly as directed by the doctor.
- You can take Fortwin Tablet with or without consuming food.
- Do not exceed the dosage of Fortwin Tablet, even if you cannot feel its effects.
- Take the tablet as a whole. Swallow with a glass of water.
- Do not break the Fortwin Tablet or chew it.
- Do not take the medicine if the package has been opened.
- Do not suddenly stop taking Fortwin Tablet, as it can have adverse effects.
- Do not take it with other medication with Fortwin Tablet without informing your doctor.

- Fortwin Tablet overdose can cause abdominal pain, dizziness, fainting, vomiting, seizures, low blood sugar, sweating, cardiac arrest, lethargy, low blood pressure, liver problems (yellow skin and eyes), confusion, and coma. In case of Fortwin Tablet overdose, seek immediate medical treatment from the nearest medical centre.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Do not take Fortwin Tablet with other opioid pain medications like Tramadol, as they can cause serious adverse effects.
- Do not take Fortwin Tablet with antidepressants like linezolid, naltrexone, methylene blue, etc. They can cause increased side effects like lethargy, dizziness, drowsiness, tremors, vomitings, etc.
- Do not take it with antihistamines like diphenhydramine and cetirizine, as they can increase the effect of drowsiness.
- Do not take Fortwin Tablets with medicines that lower respiration like sleeping pills, other central depressant medicine or tranquilisers. This can cause life-threatening side effects.
Interactions with food items
- Fortwin Tablets do not have any adverse interactions with food. It can be taken before or after consuming food. If you have any stomach problems, take this medicine after having food.
