Flucold syrup is a medicine that reduces fever and nasal congestion in children. It's a combination medicine that treats flu, cold, and fever. Active ingredients in Flucold syrup are paracetamol, chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine, and sodium citrate. This medicine helps to relieve throat irritation, sneezing, runny nose, and congestion associated with flu and cold.

You should give Flucold syrup to your child following your doctor's advice, and shake well before use. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Flucold syrup should be used carefully in children under 2 years of age. Overdosing on this medicine may cause serious liver damage or allergic reactions, so be careful not to exceed the daily dose.

How Does It Work?

Flucold syrup works by the combined action of its components. It has anti-allergic, antipyretic and decongestant properties.
Paracetamol inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins (responsible for pain and inflammation) and also act on heat-regulating centres that reduce body heat (antipyretic effect).
