Fempro 2.5mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Fempro 2.5 Tablet contains Letrozole as its active ingredient. It is an anti-cancer medicine primarily used in post-menopausal women for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive advanced breast cancer. Letrozole belongs to the class of aromatase inhibitors that reduce estrogen production in the body. Since certain breast cancer cells depend on estrogen for growth, lowering its levels helps slow down or stop the progression of the disease.
Fempro 2.5 Tablet is also prescribed in selected cases for ovulation induction in women with anovulatory infertility, strictly under medical supervision. The exact dose and duration are decided by the doctor depending on your condition and response to therapy. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.
This medicine is intended for use only in women who have completed menopause. It must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as it may harm the unborn baby. Women whose menopausal status is uncertain may require blood tests before starting treatment. Patients with liver or kidney disorders, bone-related conditions such as osteoporosis, or high cholesterol should inform their doctor before initiating therapy.
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, hot flushes, fatigue, nausea, joint stiffness, bone pain, increased sweating, and vaginal dryness. Long-term treatment may decrease bone mineral density, increasing the risk of fractures. Regular monitoring, including bone health evaluation and periodic medical check-ups, may be recommended. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe chest pain, shortness of breath, or unusual vaginal bleeding.
