- For anxiety disorder associated with depression
Contraindications
- If you have muscle disorders such as Myasthenia Gravis.
- If you have breathing difficulties, including acute pulmonary insufficiency and sleep apnea.
- If you have liver or kidney disease.
- If you have acute narrow-angle glaucoma.
- If you have porphyria.
- If you have a chronic psychiatric illness.
- If you have low blood pressure.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Itraconazole and fluvoxamine slows down the elimination rate of Etizep, leading to the accumulation of Etizep, therefore increasing its pharmacological effects.
- Carbamazepine speeds up the metabolism of Etizep, because of which the tablet may be less effective.
- Antipsychotics (Aripriprazol, Asenapine, Clozapine, Risperidone) can cause a decrease in respiratory rate and low blood pressure levels.
- Opioid analgesics (Codeine) can cause extreme drowsiness.
- Calcium-channel blockers (Verapamil, Diltiazem) can decrease blood pressure to dangerously low levels.
- Diuretics (furosemide) can affect the metabolism of Etilaam Tablets.
- Antacids (Cimetidine, Esomeprazole, Omeprazole) as it decreases the absorption of the medicine.
- Muscle relaxants (succinylcholine, atracurium) as it increase weakness and fatigue.
Interactions with food items
- This medication should be taken within 15 to 30 minutes of taking food. It does not have any specific interactions.
