Enuff 100 MG Description

Enuff capsule is an anti-diarrhoeal medicine. It contains racecadotril as the active substance. It is used for the treatment of sudden diarrhoea which lasts for less than 2 weeks (acute diarrhoea). I

t acts on the gastrointestinal tract and reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes into the intestine. This results in controlling diarrhoea. Enuff capsules should be taken in the exact dose and duration as suggested by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. This medicine is not meant to be used for diarrhoea associated with antibiotic use. Enuff capsules should not be used for more than 7 days. If diarrhoea persists for more than 7 days, consult your doctor. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Can I take Enuff capsule during pregnancy?

Pregnant women should not take Enuff capsule as it is unsafe during pregnancy. Hence, it is recommended not to use the same unless prescribed by your doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Enuff capsule while breastfeeding?

Avoid use of Enuff capsule if you are breastfeeding as there is limited information is available on the safety of Enuff capsule during breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Enuff capsule?

Enuff capsule does not affect your driving ability. However, if you experience any effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely, it is suggested to avoid driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Enuff capsule?

There is no known interaction of alcohol along with Enuff capsule. It is important to consult your physician if you consume alcohol regularly.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You experience persistent diarrhoea due to the use of antibiotics.
You find bloodstains in stool and fever, immediately contact your doctor.
You are suffering from kidney or liver disease.
You are suffering from prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting.
You experience skin reactions, the doctor may discontinue the treatment.

Mode of Action of Enuff 100 MG

How Does It Work?

Enuff capsule decreases the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine in the lumen and thus helps in minimizing the number of motions and fluid loss through diarrhoea.

Directions for Use of Enuff 100 MG

Take Enuff capsule as prescribed by your doctor.
It should be taken as a whole with a sufficient amount of water.
Do not chew or break the pill.
Do not consume more than the quantity prescribed by your doctor.
Do not take this medicine for more than 7 days.

Interactions of Enuff 100 MG

Interactions with other medicines

Enuff capsule can affect the action of other medicines or other medicines can alter the action of Enuff capsule if taken at the same time.
Tell your doctor about all the medicines, herbals, and supplements you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interactions.
The concomitant use of Enuff capsule and antihypertensive medicines like captopril, enalapril, lisinopril should be avoided as they can interfere with the activity of each other.

Storage and disposal of Enuff 100 MG

Store Enuff capsule at room temperature in a cool and dry place.
Keep this medicine out of the sight of children and pets.

Overdose

If you think you have taken too much of Enuff capsule and you experience undesirable effects, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

If you missed any dose of Enuff capsule, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule.
