Don 4 MG Description

Don 4 mg Tablet is an antipsychotic medication that treats symptoms associated with certain mental disorders. It does not cure the condition but helps reduce and relieve the symptoms caused by the co

ndition and prevents them from returning. The active ingredient in Don 4 mg tablets is risperidone. Directions of use of Don 4 mg tablets should be strictly followed. It is important that the medication not be discontinued unless advised by the doctor. Sudden discontinuation may result in the return of symptoms. When the doctor decides to stop the medication, they will do so by gradually decreasing the dose over a period of a few days before stopping it completely. Some side effects of Don 4 mg tablets are to be expected. It may cause an increase in weight which could adversely affect your overall health. Therefore, it is crucial to maintain a close check on body weight. Don is also known to cause breast swelling in men and fertility problems, and, in women, menstrual disorders as it raises the levels of a hormone called prolactin. Laboratory evaluation to check for the hormone levels is recommended if such symptoms occur. In planned surgery, especially surgery on the eye, it is essential to inform the doctor that you are undergoing therapy with Don 4 mg tablets. During cataract surgery (cloudiness of the eye), because of the effects of the medication, the size of the pupil (the black circle in the middle of your eye) may not increase in size as required, and the iris (the coloured part of the eye) may become floppy leading to eye damage.
